If daydreaming and living inside my own head was part of the school curriculum, I would have aced it with flying colours. Throughout my childhood my mind often drifted elsewhere, creating stories in my head, not paying attention to the world around me. Never listening to instructions. Always getting into trouble for it. I was and still am a dreamer. A practical and creative thinker. Ask me a math question and I'll look at you blankly. Put me in front of a D.I.Y task and I'll still be struggling with it hours later. Try holding a telephone conversation with me and you'll see why my friends get exasperated. But sit me in front of a computer and I will create you a universe. One where the villains will frighten you, yet aren't immune to redemption. Stories that enthrall and inspire, where the heroines often save the heroes. Where surprises await you around every twist and turn. My stories are a glimpse inside my head. I'll let you be the judge of whether I'm sane or not. It's probably for the best not to look at my Google search history.
Can you believe how long it's been since I first started writing on Wattpad? I can't even remember when I started. All I remember is writing my first story (that I've since taken down and is sitting in drafts) and only seeing the reads go up whenever I edited. I was my only reader. My book was invisible on the app. It was so discouraging, but I refused to give up. Then during a miserable and rainy British weekend, when I was full of cold, feeling lousy and bored witless, I started writing again. My imagination went haywire, and Labyrinth was born from that brainchild. Only ten chapters long, and over 45,000 words (I had no concept of what a chapter word count should've been back then, lol), I hit publish, and the rest is history. My fantasy romance short story blew up overnight, and grew into an amazing community of loyal readers who helped me to become the author I am today. Without them, I would be nothing. I'd still be sitting there with only a handful of my own reads.
